CELEBRATE YOUR EVENT IN THE BREWERY OF
THE FIRST BEER OF BARCELONA
As well as the brewery, we also have spaces where you can organize your own event. Could there be a better place than a spectacular brewery for this?
Below you can see the different options offered by the Moritz Brewery Barcelona.
TANK ROOM
No, it’s not called like this by chance. This is the room where we store the water to brew the beer in the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona. An open space on the main floor full of history and tradition, visible above all with the original former service lift and spiral staircase, which were the only way for the workers to access the basement and the beer storage and fermentation rooms.
It has a soundproof curtain and allows the room to be made completely private in order to organize any kind of event and enjoy the natural light.
Room 39
Located in the basement of number 39 of the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona, Room 39 is a unique space for an unrepeatable experience. A room full of history which, in the 19th century, housed the former fermentation cellars of the former Moritz brewery.
It is a private room which can host all kinds of events with the possibility of creating a theme with its lighting. It has a height-adjustable platform, which becomes a big central drinks bar, as well as complete sound and audiovisual equipment.
BRASSERIE ROOM
The Brasserie (brewery in French) room, suitable for all kinds of events, is the room which best represents the architect Jean Nouvel. History and modernity merge seamlessly. The two symmetrical mirror pyramids located in the centre of the room are the main features, allowing you to observe the Barcelona sky from inside.
In addition, it is a unique space that still conserves the old water well of the factory. It is located on the ground floor of the building in front of the fermentation room, where you can see the fermenters of the microbrewery and how we brew beer daily.
Louis Moritz Room
The Louis Moritz room transports you to another era. Louis Moritz, our “father”, lived on the main floor of the Moritz Brewery, and this space was his dining room. It currently allows you to organize any kind of event in a space which seamlessly combines tradition and modernity, a unique atmosphere in which you can observe the original frescoes which were recovered and which are visible and decorative.
Formed by two spacious rooms separated by sliding doors, you can use it with the two spaces together or separately. It also has a fully equipped kitchen which allows live cooking.
BARREL ROOM
The barrel room is also a space packed with history. This was the room in which the barrels of beer were filled in the former factory, before being loaded onto horse-drawn carts which distributed Moritz all over the city. Attached to the Moritz Store and on street level, it is now a bright, multipurpose room where various events can be held.
